Making handmade soap from natural and organic ingredients (soap making process)
www.thingsfromhomeinc.com Here is the “part 2″ video to my first video about “making” all natural and organic “soap”. I hope that you watch both back to back so you get the full “soap making” process that I use when I make my “all natural” and “organic” handmade (soaps), right in my own kitchen!! The first video can be seen here www.youtube.com The guy interviewing me in the video is “Robert Bankston” of The Method Reports, llc, he is an “internet marketing mentor”, and the author of “The Method Report”, “The Youtube Marketing Course”, and a few other titles. His books teach people how to use the many free and effective resources there are online to market and promote both “online” and “real world” businesses. “Video Marketing” (using videos to market a product, website, or service) has quickly become the platinum standard in marketing, and this video is evidence of my desire and action taken to “drive traffic” and increase sales to my handmade “health” and beauty product website, www.thingsfromhomeinc.com If you are interested in increasing the traffic and sales on your website, you NEED to learn video marketing! Robert Bankston can be contacted through his Youtube channel http or his website www.themethodreports.com Thanks for watching, and please rate my video(s), leave me a comment, and SUBSCRIBE to get the new videos I am releasing! The lye is added to the first step you don’t see in this video. I add so much of my own ingredients in the second step that it needs to cure before I add the essential oil, color and exfoliate.
What is the reason for melting the “soap” twice? Does it add any benefits to the soap?
Do you add the lye during the second melting then?
Just to question a stupid question, is this a hot process method of making soap (looks that way to me)?
you forgot to say that you need to do many things before add parfume and herbs!! why your not sharing to whole recipe???????
you could give it a try and see what you get.
Can’t I buy the pear glycerine soap and remelt it and add my extra goodies.
I don’t like the lye part, either. Rather skip it.
don’t be frightened! it stings on your skin but just wash it away with cold water. use gloves, glasses and don’t lean over the lye whe you mix it into the water….it really is nothing to be frightened of….have fun…it’s fantastic!
you can google soap bases and see what is out there. I don’t do liquid soaps and yes I do make a lotion. You can google lotion recipes also and a excellent book for lotions and cremes is Donna Maria, Making aromatherapy creams & lotions.
are there other bases you can use aside from glycerin? also, do you make or know anything about making liquid soaps or lotions?
Yes, lye is in all soaps. Be carefull when you do use it because it is perilous until it saponifies completely, then it is soap.
but did you place any lye in it? i am justa bit frightened to use it as i heard it s a bit perilous.:(
lye is in all soap that I am aware of. Excellent luck soaping!
can you tell me if you place lye in your soaps? is it necessary to place lye in the soap? sorry i am doing a lot of research about making soap and i can t wait to start making soap too. i am taking a class soon.:)
Thank you for the kind words. I like doing it.
Wonderful video! Very clear… Thank you for taking the time to show people how make soap. Really appreciated.
yeah then this dude cant spell
soup is what you eat. soap is what you wash your body with
isn’t it soup? and not soap?
thank you so much for sharing this with us! I have always wanted to try my hand at making soap and I am glad to see there are people out there making videos about it.
BTW – you were fantastic on camera. I got a very “at home” feeling and your voice is soothing.
Keep em coming!
Thank you! I am camera shy and if he hadn’t prompted me, there would be no video!
I reckon the cameraman did a excellent job prompting you .
Check out her other videos. Step 1 is there plus part 3 that follows this one.
the video goes really quick. what are the ingredients. plus the video starts off with the glycerin already; being melted. Can we start from the beginning?
i thought it was amusing. cant make everything serious
No, not at this time.
